Fitter/Welders


Job Title: Fitter/Welders- specifically in the food industry

Location: Nationwide

Job Overview:

As a Fitter/Welder within the food industry, you will be required to assemble metal parts, manufacture machinery components, and support equipment installation. This role primarily involves operating and maintaining machinery and fluid power equipment but you’ll also be responsible for identifying and adjusting processes in accordance with project specifications.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Expertly weld small, medium, and large bore pipe of various metals and alloys.

  • Solder and braze copper pipe.

  • Perform complex mechanical installations per engineering direction.

  • Read and comprehend construction drawings and specifications.

  • Lay out and install piping, equipment, and other mechanical systems in compliance with construction drawings and specifications.

  • Mark up construction drawings and specifications with as-built status.

  • Work with Thermal Systems Engineers and your Site Construction Manager to order tools, equipment, supplies, and materials necessary for the group’s job requirements following company policy and process.

  • Work in conjunction with other crews and lead persons.

  • Upkeep the usability for all tools and equipment assigned to the group.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current welding certifications (recently expired certifications may be acceptable contingent upon the ability to successfully requalify prior to employment).

  • Must either have a welder qualification and/or a minimum of 4 years’ experience as a welder.
