Diesel Mechanic
Job Title: Diesel Mechanic - HGV, Earthmoving, Telehandlers
Location: Nationwide, New Zealand
Position: Full Time
Wage Rate: $30 - $40 starting rate, with scope to improve alongside experience.
Start Date: 2025 and 2025
Job Overview
Responsibilities:
Diagnosing issues
Repairing, testing and fine-tuning diesel engines
Disassembling and reassembling engine components
Conducting routine maintenance and servicing
Requirements:
4 years’ experience as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent
Buses, 18 Wheeler and other large diesel vehicles
Relevant NZ qualifications or similar overseas TQ
Skills and practical knowledge on welding
Knowledge and familiarity with all standard plant and equipment used on construction site
Diagnostic source of breakdown on equipment (mechanic, hydraulic, pneumatic)
