Job Overview:
As a Drain Layer, the installation, maintenance, and repair of subsurface and surface drainage systems will be your primary responsibility. Your work will oversee the crucial function of wastewater, stormwater, and sewage systems. We require experienced drainlayers to work on a wide variety of residential and commercial drainage, earthworks and civil work, new housing and developments.
Your Responsibilities:
Studying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of systems and materials required.
Installing below-ground drainage systems and associated ground support systems.
Maintain below-ground drainage systems and associated sewerage or effluent disposal systems.
Assisting with assembling and installing piping valves and fittings.
Cleaning and carrying out repairs on stormwater drains and canals, and checking for cracks and leaks in sewerage systems.
Experience & Qualifications:
Minimum 3+ years’ experience and/or Trade Qualification.
Class 1 license.
City and Guilds qualification (or international equivalent).
PGDB registration or licensed – Preferred but not essential.
At least contactable 2 work references.
100% commitment to Health and Safety.
Able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
WTR Endorsements – Preferred but not essential.
