Job Description
A Stainless Steel Welder fabricates, assembles, and repairs stainless steel components using welding techniques such as TIG and MIG welding. In New Zealand, these professionals often work in industries like food processing, dairy, marine, and construction, where hygiene and corrosion resistance are critical.
Responsibilities
Reading and intepreting engineering drawings/ blueprints
Preparing materials
Preforming high precision welds
Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
Fabricate custom stainless components
Experience
2–3 years experience as a welder/fabricator
TIG welding background with stainless steel
Workshop and on-site installation experience
Able to work independently and follow strict quality standards
