Very professional explanation and comparison about migrating to NZ. Beside presenting the useful information question can be asked (via chat) during the webinar. In short all the information we want know are told and answered.
What can I say? WOW!! Four weeks ago I went to the This is New Zealand seminar in Birmingham in September recently, within 3 weeks I have a job offer. I have tried before to work abroad as I have always wanted to do it, like many people I suppose, and start a new life. It has always been hard to get the right information and it always seems like a complicated process, but Migration Associates and New Zealand Skills in Demand are all over it.My friend saw an advert in a Cornish paper advertising for trades people in New Zealand, which I am (machine operator and truck driver) the advert had been placed by New Zealand Skills in Demand. I called them up and since then my life has changed. I am now on the way of chasing my dreams to start a new life in NZ. I should be out there by Christmas (happy days).
I went to the “This is New Zealand...” seminar in Manchester in November. I had already made the decision to move to New Zealand and had been in touch with Migration Associates and NZ Skills in Demand. The seminar was excellent in providing information on the practicalities of making the move, such as setting up bank accounts and removal costs and also things you may not consider such as making the most of your money and using the exchange rate to your advantage. I think the seminars are great for whatever stage in the process you are in...I just can’t wait to make the move now!
As I went to attend the seminar I thought that most of my queries were answered by myself but quite a few things came up from Borey from Migration Associates and Guy and the team from New Zealand Skills in Demand, this made it all the more important that I went. I came away feeling less confused and less daunted by the idea of moving to NZ. Now it’s all good and I’m looking forward to the future in NZ. Any questions I had and am having I know to just get in touch and they are more than happy to help. Seeing as I’m doing this move on my own it’s great that someone is there to help.
The This is New Zealand seminar was very informative, it was a great opportunity to talk to experts on removals, finance and pensions. This allowed us to make an informed decision about our move to New Zealand. We would recommend anyone thinking of emigrating to attend one of these seminars.
We both thought the recent This is New Zealand seminar we attended in London was a good idea and well put together. Borey, Mark, Joel and all of the guest speakers are really approachable and we both felt confident in the information that was being given and in the help and advice you will all be giving us. Having Patrick (NZ Recruiter) speak was good too, and almost invaluable as without a job the whole process of emigration won’t exactly happen.
An enjoyable and informative seminar which has cemented our ambition to go live and work in NZ!
Having already spoken with Borey and Joel it was good to have an opportunity to ask some personal questions and the presentation about life in New Zealand was invaluable for our stage in the process.
Very impressed indeed. Made to feel as relaxed as possible and the lectures were very encouraging.
Attended the This is New Zealand seminar in Birmingham 15th November and found it to be very informative. Had attended the Down Under live show the month before which although informative it was quite busy and a rush to try and see everyone needed. This seminar is much more relaxed with more time to speak to everyone also had people there who were about to start their new life in New Zealand and shared their journey so far. Can highly recommend anyone thinking of emigrating to New Zealand to attend a This is New Zealand seminar.
It was so encouraging to be able to meet people who seem genuinely interested in our quest to emigrate to New Zealand.
Each person we spoke to made us feel welcome and at ease while discussing the available options in a knowledgeable way and were able to answer all the queries we raised with no pressure selling at all.
I would like you to pass on my thanks to everyone involved in putting on a very confidence inspiring event which helped us on our way to ‘the land of the long white cloud’.
The NZ seminar was a good use of 3 hours of our time to get further informed about the realities of a move to New Zealand. it gave useful insights into the practicalities of living there, education, banking and job hunting in a realistic manner. This was not a high pressured sales environment, but rather a relaxed and friendly seminar where you can explore what could be a big decision in ones life.
My husband, son and I attended the London NZ seminar on Tuesday 10th November. We found the seminar to be extremely informative. All the relevant companies were there to offer their warm assistance and support.
My wife and I have been looking into emigrating for a long time and New Zealand seems to offer all we want. We would recommend any one seriously thinking about emigrating to New Zealand to attend one of these seminars. My wife and I had a list of questions we wanted to ask, fortunately we did not even have to ask as all the questions were covered in detail during the seminar plus things we had not even thought about. It was also nice to talk to people going through the same process and the same emotions. All of the speakers were very professional and made everyone feel at ease. It is a relaxed atmosphere and there are no long lines of people waiting for information from the representatives. All in all a great event, many thanks for all your help.
We were impressed by the care and consideration all providers had all put into the event. All our concerns were address and all our questions, and many more, were answered in a clear and concise way. We would recommend this event to all who are considering New Zealand as their new home.
The whole experience of dealing with Migration Associates and New Zealand Skills in Demand has been magical. All of the staff are very professional and lovely people and cannot do enough for you. I hope to have a beer with them all when England plays NZ in the final of rugby world cup, I’ll buy the beers. Many thanks Migration Associates and New Zealand Skills in Demand
The ‘This is New Zealand’ London seminar we attended was extremely informative, it clarified for us the milestone timetable we need to adhere to and helped to organise the many ‘to do’ things on the list. The clarification of what we need to do and when we need to do it we found to be invaluable. It also brought about a sense of reality to our dream of living in New Zealand and has focused our attention on achieving this goal. It was good to meet the many service providers and be able to talk through matters with them and ask any questions that arose, which may have been triggered from comments made or indeed questions asked by other attendees. Altogether, it was very worthwhile.
We found the seminar extremely informative and great due to it be solely focused on New Zealand. It was very helpful to be sat with other people looking to migrate and listen to their views/questions and raise any details we may have not thought about in great detail. We did not feel pressurised to use any of the services of the companies attending, which in fact made you feel more comfortable and also more likely to approach for further information. All in all a great success! So many thanks for inviting us along when we attended the ‘Down Under Live’ show Birmingham.
Migration to New Zealand is something my partner and I have been considering for a while now and after attending the Go Live! conference we decided that attending the seminar would be a good way to get a bigger picture of what we’d need to do to make the dream a reality. As we are both under 30 we can easily get to NZ on a Working Holiday Visa, very clearly explained to us by Migration Associates at the Conference, but still unsure about the reality of moving across the globe and how we could later transfer to another visa category later on once in NZ. The seminar gave us lots of useful information about things we hadn’t even thought about - how to go about registering our car in NZ for one. We have lots of things to research now and some realistic ideas of what we need to do and when so we can confidently make our move. Going to the seminar will give you a really good idea about the realities of migrating to NZ and lots of resources to help you when you go.
We decided to emigrate to New Zealand in 2012. We knew that there was more to emigrating than just packing the bags and booking the flights, but we never realised the ‘to do list’ could fill the phone book. Luckily for us at an emigration show in Birmingham we meet Mark Morrison and Borey Chum. Together they have offered advice and services that has proved invaluable. Mark found suitable employment for us, offered points of contact in New Zealand and names and number for a reputable and reliable accommodation agency (Harcourts). Borey sorted the visa paperwork. Without their help we believe we would still be in the storm raging in British Isles at the moment instead of at the beach having a BBQ. I would totally recommend their services to anyone who was considering emigrating, we know for a fact that they were more concerned with doing what was best for our family unit rather than just making money. We are still in contact with Mark and hope to meet up when he visits New Zealand, so basically he helped facilitated our dream of emigrating and we gained a friend - a win win situation we believe.
Great seminar due to being run by Kiwis who care for their country. We were given good advice on both good and bad points for us to think over.
